After graduating from the University of Guelph with honours in Animal Biology in 2009, I attended Northern College achieving my veterinary technician certification with honours in 2011. The following year I was one of the first students to successfully complete the Companion Animal Physical Rehabilitation at Northern College and became a registered veterinary technician. Prior to starting at Nottawasaga Valley Veterinary Hospital in July 2017, I primarily worked in emergency and referral medicine.
When I’m not at work, I’m helping operate a breeding kennel with my family where we breed, raise and show Schapendoes. I love that my career and personal passion overlap and help make me not only a better technician but a more compassionate one, too. I have a passion for neonate/puppy care, reproduction and caring for elderly patients. I also have an addiction to fun printed scrubs!
In July 2024, I received my certification as a Peaceful Euthanasia Professional.
