Dr. Donna Wagar

Veterinarian

I always had a love of animals and science. I entertained the dream of becoming a veterinarian early on in life as I grew up in my hometown of Orangeville, Ontario. While working on my Bachelor of Science degree at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, I was thrilled when the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon accepted me. During my time at vet school, I confirmed my passion for small animal internal medicine, in 2003, I earned my Doctor for Veterinary Medicine.

I started my career back in my home province of Ontario in companion animal medicine. I joined the wonderful veterinary team at Nottawasaga Valley Veterinary Hospital in 2019.

I have a special interest in internal medicine and client education. I am extremely excited to provide you, the client and your furry family members with the best care through practicing the highest standards of preventative and diagnostic medicine with the aim of helping pets live long and healthy lives.

Over the years I have been the proud pet parent of many beloved cats and dogs. Currently my furry family consists of one cat, Alice. She is a special rescue cat that fills my life with joy. When not working, I love doing genealogy research resulting in quite an extensive family tree. I also love traveling and have visited many interesting places around the globe.
